CollegiateSkate offers high school and university student athletes
in selected cities across Canada an opportunity to compete as a team
and represent their schools. This program allows skaters to stay
active in the sport during their academic years. Skaters can
participate in events such as singles, dance, pairs, and
synchronized skating. Their placements allows them to accumulate
points for their team. The high school or university with the
highest point total wins the overall competition. |

Goals
Our goals in the Skate Canada Alberta-NWT/NUN section are to
continue to host Collegiate only competitions for post-secondary
students and to expand the Collegiate high school program for the
2007/2008 season. |

collegiate skaters are competing for points for their post-secondary
institution, they must be a current student of that post-secondary
institution. Points will be awarded as follows:
-
6 or more entries - for 1st through
6th 10, 7, 5, 3, 2, 1 points
-
5 or less entries - for 1st through
5th 7, 5, 3, 2, 1 points
