What is a Judge
A Judge is an individual sixteen years of age or older who
has been trained and certified to mark competitive tests and competitions. Judges are qualified
to officiate at or below a specified level of competition in one
or more of singles, pairs, dance or synchronized skating. |

What is an
Evaluator
An Evaluator is an
individual sixteen years of age or older who has been trained and
certified to assess test in the STAR program. Evaluators are
qualified to assess tests at or below a specified level in one or
more of the STAR program disciplines. |

Practical
|
Successful completion of the Juvenile Workbook and the
following practical exercises:
- Standards ID Module
- Two Reports of Juvenile Trial Judging
- One Supervised Trial Evaluating Session per
discipline
- One self-evaluation of judging at the Primary level
in each discipline
- One mentored session of evaluation at the Primary
level in each discipline

Successful completion of the Novice Judging Workbook and
the following practical exercises:
- Three Reports of Pre Novice or Novice trial judging
in the applicable discipline - at least one must be at the Novice Level
- Two Referee Reports of judging at the juvenile Level
in the applicable discipline - for singles promotion, at least one report
must be on judging at a qualifying event
