Skate Canada: Alberta‐NWT/Nunavut requires the clubs/skating schools to provide the Program Assistants with appropriate training prior to assisting with the CanSkate program. The training will provide an overview of what is expected of the Program Assistants; provide them with the skills and support to work with the skaters in the CanSkate program. This clinic is designed to assist program assistants; however coaches are welcome to attend.
Lead instructor, CanSkate Learning Facilitator Leona Boyle will guide program assistants through skills and teaching progressions, warm – ups and cool downs, reinforcing learning skills, leading exercises, drills, games, creative expression, exercises, circuits.
Requirements:
· Must be a current registered member of Skate Canada
· Recommended minimum age 10
