Requirements for Primary STARSkate coach evaluated and certified:
Prerequisite: must be registered as a Skate Canada professional coach
- Complete a minimum of 50 hours of practice coaching (minimum of 40 hours on‐ice) in Skate Canada member clubs immediately following the completion of the three day course.
- Submit three different 15 minute video lessons at the primary (preliminary or junior bronze) STARSkate level.
• One 15 minute mandatory stroking or skating skills lesson and;
• Two additional 15 minute lessons based on the following selections: jump, spin, interpretive skating, ice dance, synchronized skating, pairs.
